Smoking Ban at OWU?

Sometimes it just sucks that it is bad for you

Stressed? I can't tell!

Back at school and already busy!! Hopefully I can pull off the "stressed-out" look as well as she can.
Except for the pinched brow and messaging on the phone...she looks pretty good! I mean, no one is perfect. When push comes to shove, you can always dress put together. As long as you can keep your appearance under control...you are almost infallible...almost.

Transitional Wear

Tory Burch has it down pat. As we leave the Thanksgiving week (bellies overly stuffed) and make our way into the Holiday season...we need to show just the right amount of winter wear, while not exhausting our black pieces. Burch keeps the Fall look in an effortless transition.

Simple look...and simply fabulous.

Fall Fall Fall

It's a crisp November day in Cincinnati! While everyone else is cheering on OSU in their game against Michigan...I am working on a Shakespeare project and doing last minute errands before I return to OWU tomorrow.

Enjoy your final hours of break everyone!

Navy and Orange !!!

On top of being such a fabulous color combination...they happen to be the colors of the Auburn Tigers!

Auburn defeated Alabama today, 28-27...in quite a nail bitter. Alabama was ahead 21-0, yes...how on EARTH did Auburn pull that game out! Auburn will keep their victorious record and possibly  move back to #1?!?! This is the first season that Auburn has been #1 since 1985.

So why is a girl from Cincinnati an Auburn fan?

Color choice is definitely a plus, hahaha not really...but still

Maddy, my lovely big despite being from Long Island is a Southern girl at heart. Maddy has been a camp counselor in North Carolina for the past few years. She has grown quite substantial Southern roots (country music as I already mentioned) and has fallen in love with Auburn football! Maddy went down to visit Auburn in September (she missed my Theta Crush party that I was in charge of...but that is another story) and saw her friend Collier, who I feel like I know, but really don't.

Anywho, Saturday afternoons have turned into Auburn football cheer sessions and I have joined in. NEVER have I been a sport's fan...I typical just say "I don't do sports" and people understand. But, for some reason, I have become an Auburn football fan and am cheering them on like no other!

UVA lacrosse is the only other sports team that gets this much attention from Clare Whitaker...although you could argue the color scheme for them as well hahaha.

Let's make sure to give a shout out to Auburn and cheer them on next Saturday as they play USC!

And for a little inspirational orange and navy

Country Music?

I am a member a Kappa Alpha Theta sorority...Theta LOVE! Those familiar with Greek Life (at OWU Fraternity and Sorority life...we can't discriminate) probably know the family system. Big, Grand Bigs, etc.

My Big, a junior from Long Island, tends to take me on errands with her. As we drive around Delaware, OH picking up necessities from Walmart, fun arts and crafts from Michaels, groceries from Buhlers, and the occassional snack from Panera we listen to tunes in the car. And since she is the driver...she gets to pick. Maddy tends to lean towards the country music route, not really my forte, but somehow she has converted me (well I haven't fallen into the bandwagon yet, it's a semi-conversion).

Wagon Wheel

And this is one of my favorite songs! Head down south...

Thanksgiving

This is an image of what I hope my Thanksgiving will be like a few years from now.
So timeless. So classic. So fall.

My thanksgiving wasn't as picturesque this year, cold and rainy Cincinnati didn't provide a lovely football scene at the park...but there is always next year!

This year I tested my culinary skills and made a homemade Garden Vegetable Corn Chowder and a Spinach and Sweet Potato Salad. Martha Stewert, here I come.

I hope that all of you had an absolutely marvelous Thanksgiving!

New blogger

Eeeek. What have I gotten myself into...I am starting the blogging world. I have to admit it is about time. After Julie & Julia, I became intriqued with blogging and then when I began my Sartorialist stalking over the summer (to scope out style inspirations of course) it had to happen sometime. When I came home from school for Turkey Day break and discovered that two of my younger brothers had started blogs...the time had come. So, on the night of Thanksgiving as I sit stuffed to the brim...I am beginning my blogging adventure!

I am not sure how often I will post, probably more than I should being a college student...but hopefully it will be entertaining for all! I have a vast collection of Style Inspirations that I have been gathering throughout the years...going on 3 1/2 years now. Fashion world, here I come! Well, that's a far-fetched goal, I will just start with blogging and see where life will take me!

I will start off by telling you a little bit about myself, before you begin to really think I am nuts. First off, I am nuts...literally crazy, but, I like to think, in a good way. Picture: your crazy art teacher, in a college form. Actually, I am more like a 40 year old mom (sometime pushing 75 year old grandmother) trapped in a 19 year old's body...but I manage.

I am a sophomore at Ohio Wesleyan University, a small liberal arts school and I love it. I am an undeclared Politics and Government and English double major and a Theatre minor. Once my advisor returns from Sabbatical I will (hopefully) have much more of this buttoned-down. I am from Cincinnati, OH and have three younger brothers. And I guess those that choose to follow will learn more as time goes on!

I will be posting little inspirations in my life. These will range from images, to songs, to anything else that seems to make my day. I hope you enjoy!
