Nantucket vs. The Hamptons

Where do you summer?
I think I'd just be lovely in Nantucket.

riva aquarama

The pleasurecraft of choice.

As explained in Town & Country, the Riva was launched in 1842 by Petro Riva when he began building boats in Sarnico, a small town on the shores of Lago d'isco in northern Italy. The heyday of the brand came in the 1950s and 1960s when Pietro's great-grandson, Carlo, turned the Riva boats into luxury icons through his focus on craftsmanship and the most minute of details. The world's most glamorous took notice, as the yachts were snatched up by Hollywood royalty.
Even today, these jewels preserve intact all of the charm of that time, made of paparazzi, movie stars wearing foulards and glamorous sunshades, celebrity love stories, luxury and timeless elegance.

Southampton 'Cottage'

Naturally, one day I'll be living in an estate once owned by the Carneiges...so I might as well start house shopping now!
This gorgeous home was built in 1898 and was one of the original Southampton "summer cottages." The home was purchased by a nephew of Andrew Carneige at the turn of the 20th century and remained in the family until the 1950s. The most recent owners are the de Guardiolas, the husband is an investment banker and the wife is an interior designer who used to work with Parish-Hadley Associates before starting her own firm.
The owners are selling because they call Florida home and spend most of their time on their yacht. The life.

Serena & Lily Fall Lookbook

This week, I came across the Serena & Lily's Fall 2015 Lookbook on Katie Armour's blog, The Neo-Trad. Serena & Lily began as (and are predominately), an interiors company with beautiful products from bedding to rugs, indoor and outdoor decor and furniture.
They recently launched into fashion and it's so classic & chic; frankly I'd expect nothing less from their already divine merchandise. I could consider revamping my entire fall wardrobe with this collection. Consisting primarily of shirtwaist dresses, cigarette pants, capes and bateau tops, I would not only be happy as a peach...but expertly dressed for the upcoming months. These looks are perfect for transition season, beginning now and going through mid-October.
Explore the Serena & Lily website here and enjoy a few looks from the fall collection below...
