A couple of weeks ago when I snatched the J.Crew catalog off of the futon from one of my friend's porches...I fell in love with J.Crew's latest collaboration. 

Throughout the past couple year's as J.Crew has moved up in the ranks in the style department, they have paired up with many prominent brands such as Rolex, Clarks, RayBan, and Barbour for items made exclusively for the company. 

For the fall, they have collaborated with New Balance and have created the classic kicks in such great colors, that you can't find anywhere else. Even though they are in the men's section, I wouldn't be opposed to having a pair. They suggest for unisex sizing, women should order two sizes smaller than what they normally would buy. 

I am LOVING the orange!

Always Remember

My Uncle Jim has been working on a documentary the past ten years, capturing the moments of Ground Zero after the September 11th attacks. After the attacks he began working on the site setting up cameras capturing shots 24 hours a day, seven days a week...for ten years. He had the beginnings of a powerful and promising film. Intertwined with the visuals are interviews with individuals who have shared their stories, their struggles in coping...in grief. America's story is told, collapsing the past ten years into these five moving stories. 

The documentary shows that hope prevails throughout grief, sorrow, and recovery. He shares the story for future generations, so that they can find answers to the day and the aftermath. he provides a visual on the resilience on the American people, of our nation. 

The film will be premiering on Showtime this evening at 9:00.

outdoor ceiling fans

Even though we just celebrated Labor Day...meaning the summer whites should be retreating in our closet and the hot and muggy afternoon days should be behind us, I am still feeling a bit sticky...and will keep wearing my white. 

One of my favorite outdoor scenes is being on an outdoor porch with big ceiling fans. A perfect way for you to stay cool and enjoy the summer heat. Afternoon lunches at my grandma's country club under the breezy fans are the best. I would love a ceiling fan above an expansive front porch for myself one day. Right now, I'll admire these inspirations!

I have currently been loving this new color which is perfect for fall!! What I am sooo excited about for this upcoming fall season, is that color is not disappearing, but rather being embraced! So long are the dark shades of grey, black, and brown...instead we are letting color continue!

I would recommend a "jewel tone" look, which will be great to model as the trees begin to show off their colors in the next few weeks. For right now, here is a look at a hot fall color: mustard yellow!
