Halcyon Hotel

Next time I happen to be on the other side of the world, this hotel will be on my must-stay list.
Located in Northern New South Wales, the Halcyon Hotel is an old surfer motel transformed into a luxurious getaway. Boasting 21 rooms (each uniquely designed), an outdoor pool, day spa, restaurant and bar, daily meditation/yoga classes and access to Cabarita Beach, the Halcyon Hotel was already ranked as #5 on Australian Traveller's '100 Amazing Places You Haven't Been to Yet" - and it just opened this spring!
The master designer of the Australian escape is Anna Spiro, a fantastic interior designer from Brisbane. When I first started blogging - pushing five years ago! - I came across Anna in the blogosphere. She had a delightful site and I was always impressed and captivated by her impeccable taste; the Halcyon Hotel couldn't be a more perfect representation of her work!
Combining the Australian beach lifestyle with European luxury, Anna did a tremendous job decorating the boutique hotel focusing on fresh colors, natural light, a curated collection of antiques, furniture and art and a bright, cheerful personality. As Anna states: "I love to stay in a place that wraps me up and is beautifully decorated. You want to go home and dream about visiting that wonderful place again."
Crafted with love, the Halcyon Hotel is a breath of fresh air and automatically feels like home away from home - exactly the kind of place where I'd love to spend a vacation :)
