Wimbledon

There is no better portrayal of tennis than Wimbledon. Wimbledon, the oldest tennis tournament in the world, is recognized not only for its elite title and all-star line-up of the game's best and boldest, but also the more aesthetic elements of the championship. The picturesque grass courts, traditional tennis whites and royal attendees; it's probably one of the only events that could take place during (and rival) the Independence holiday and that I'd consider skipping out on the Fourth celebrations to attend :)
Ralph Lauren is celebrating his tenth year as the official designer for the championship. In advance of the tournament, Ralph Lauren and Vogue host a lovely party inviting some of London's best to celebrate the 'fashionable' side of arguably the most stylish tennis tournament. See pictures below of the best dressed at the Ralph Lauren & Vogue kick-off party and chic tennis whites.

Denison Day

Today is Denison Day, the annual lacrosse game between rival teams OWU and Denison. It was always one of my favorite events at school. I experienced Denison Day for the first time when I was in junior high; my dad had played lacrosse for OWU and took my brother and I up for the game.

Typically the game was held on a Saturday allowing many alums returned to OWU for the celebration. It always was a fun-filled and exhausting weekend. Last year I organized buses to take students to the game at Denison which worked out tremendously, despite the loss. As you can see in the photo below, I am with some friends at last year's game...we even had shirts made!

I am sending my well wishes to the OWU lacrosse team today and the members of SHO who have planned lots of great things for the day's event.

Happy Denison Day...and here's to a win!

Fall Game Day

Today's outfit is inspired by fall season tailgates. I am part of an organization at school which sponsors "Red Alert" games for each sport. During their seasons, the teams request one event that they'd like our organization to sponsor and encourage students to come and cheer them to victory.
We try and provide incentives like free tailgates or snacks like cookies & lemonade.
So far, it has been a huge success and I have really enjoyed watching the different games!
Here's an outfit that I think would be perfect for those crisp fall days:

Fall Game Day
Shop the look:
American Apparel Leggings (I swear by them!)

Olympic Women All-stars

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Olympics the past few weeks. It is both entertaining and incredibly inspiring to watch these talented individuals from around the world showcase their talent in support of their country.
The United States, once again, has had a successful representation boosting athletes rising above and beyond the occasion. I think most notable were the female athletes that came from America.
I heard on the news yesterday that if the women Olympians from the United States were a country, they would have placed in third for overall standings. This news made me absolutely thrilled, I always advocate for women who share their talents in a positive light, inspiring the world and making a difference. This year's Olympians made such an impression.

HERE is an article for you to read more about US women Olympians.

The real Baywatch babes.

The "sweetheart" of the Olympics.

The golden girls.

The first women from Saudi Arabia to take part in an Olympic celebration.

As we applaud these remarkable achievements. I would also like to share a link with Kate's perfect Olympic attire. She succeeded brilliantly in dressing for the part of UK's biggest fans.

Water Sports

I had a wonderful time in Michigan! We were able to spend a lot of time on the water swimming, boating, tubing, and water skiing. I was thrilled to make it up on water skis with the first attempt in three years. Granted, it is still challenging to lift my arms over my head...but totally worth taking a few loops around the lake.

Because I had such a blast with water recreation while in Michigan, I am sharing some of my favorite inspirations for a boating day !

And here are some personal shots:
