Spring Fling from Design Shuffle

Hello, everyone! It's Mari here from Design Shuffle, a fabulous social networking site for interior designers and design lovers from around the world. Being a writer for Design Shuffle allows me to visit great blogs like Twirling Clare as a guest blogger. Today's post is all about decorating ideas for spring vignettes. Spring is my favorite times of the year—perhaps because everything feels so fresh and new. Ever notice how intensely green the new growth on grass, plants and trees looks? As for decorating with vignettes, how quick and easy is it to make rooms feel refreshed by arranging or rearranging favorite decorative pieces, and yes fresh flowers, into lovely little collections? Here are eight ideas to inspire you to create your own spring vignettes.

Enjoy!

Spring Vignette Living Room Design
What every formal space needs—a spring vignette with fresh flowers in an unexpected container, a big fat clear glass jug. I'm thinking those are art, architecture or interior design books all ready for browsing.

Spring Vignette Dining Room Design
From gorgeously formal, we turn to appealingly casual. This living space with two delicate chandeliers has been dressed up for spring with tabletop vignettes in blue—one with pink blooming branches and one with yellow daffodils.

Spring Vignette Design
This large tabletop vignette is a beautiful way to transition from winter into spring. How lovely this would look in a foyer, living room, dining room or bedroom design

Spring Vignette Afternoon Tea Party Design
It must be a party or perhaps this colorful vignette was created for a family brunch to celebrate the coming of spring. Whatever the occasion, it shows off lots of ingenious decorative details.

Spring Vignette Design
Another celebration of springtime, this slightly rustic vignette is filled with favorite objects, written words and organic elements. What signifies the change of seasons more eloquently than the iconic spring blooming bush, the sunny Forsythia?

  Spring Vignette Powder Room Design
A spring vignette that includes cut flowers is a perfect way to freshen up any bathroom designs. It's a lovely way to pamper family or overnight guests.

Spring Vignette Kitchen Room Design
This gorgeous kitchen has been turned into one enormous spring vignette with fresh flowers and lovely touches of turquoise. Can't you just taste that refreshing beverage? What an appealing color it is.

Spring Vignette Flower Design
Sometimes a vignette can be taken to a whole new level by the background against which it is set. Isn't this a beautiful way to enhance an already stunning bouquet? Add favorite found objects and you have spring vignette perfection.

Spring Fling featuring Lauren

I am pleased to share guest writer Lauren on the blog today, celebrating the Spring Fling series! She has shared a fantastic selection of tips on how to stay active, have fun, and enjoy all that this spring has to offer.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!

As winter begins to fade and the first buds of spring appear in the trees, it’s time to celebrate the start of a new season and a brand new year. While it’s easy to simply let spring quickly fade into the heat of summer, it is much more fun to grab the season and enjoy it to its fullest. So, don’t miss out! Here are some of the top ways that the spring season can benefit your health, style and well-being.
1. Out with the Old
Spring is the perfect time to update your look and lifestyle. If you have a hairstyle that’s making you groan when you look in the mirror, still have yet to clean out the backseat of your car, or have worn out your favorite band tee to the point of no return, it’s time to shake off the things that are weighing you down. Get started with a little spring cleaning of your life and your personal style, and you will be sure to feel fresh and ready to get going in 2012.
2. Get Fit
The new warmth of spring brings a sigh of relief for those of us battling the winter blah’s, but that also means that swimsuit season is right around the corner. Instead of stressing about how to achieve your dream beach body, take cues from this season of rejuvenation and sign up for yoga classes or aerobic swimming. Do something that will make you feel refreshed and energized, and that will surely be enough momentum to get going toward your best summertime bod yet.
3. Eat Fresh
As summer finally approaches, the produce sections of our local grocery stores will start to look a bit less dismal. Take some inspiration from the new season and add some more fresh fruits and veggies to your diet. It is the fastest and most natural way to get a healthy spring glow.
4. Dare to Bare
Even though winter has put most of us in the routine of layering that old band tee with a sweater, under a hoodie, under a parka, it’s time to shed those awful layers and let our skin breathe free. To celebrate the season, head to your favorite store and pick up some flowy, wide-leg chiffon pants in a tribal print or the shortest bodycon mini that you can get your hands on. As soon as the weather allows, don your new finds and head out to show the rest of the world that spring has arrived.
5. Have Fun in the Sun
Now that the weather has started to change, don’t forget to partake in one of the best activities for your body, mind and soul: having fun outside! Take your dog to the park, air up your bike tires for a ride around the neighborhood, or lay out poolside. Anything that you enjoy doing outside will lift your spirits and give you the first hints of that much-needed sexy, summer glow.

Spring Fling from Summer Wind

Welcome to Week 4 of the Spring Fling series, I hope you are able to find some fabulous spring selections today from sCe!!

I am so happy to be guest posting here at Twirling Clare!! I hope you will all hop over to my blog, Summer Wind and take a look around!
Because I am a college student and live in a townhouse that's a little less than charming, it is hard for me to incorporate spring into my life in regards to interior design. However, there are little things that can help to brighten my space and make life more like spring!
This is an inexpensive and easy way to brighten up your space. Plus, everything has a use! I swear by my Lilly Pulitzer note pads and other Lifeguard Press products. I've recently written a post about it, here! I also have the magnetic board and the dry-erase board. As a college student, both get a ton of use!
Update the pictures in your frames! I like to update them at least 4 times a year. That way it changes things up and gives you something different to look at. Purchasing colorful frames is another way to add that necessary pop of color! I love the Kate Spade frames because they are great quality and come in both pink and green!
Cashmere throws are another way to brighten up your space. Put your plaid or dark colored winter throw in storage and cozy-up in a bright color. Pink is my go-to but I also love navy for a nautical touch!

Spruce up your bathroom and add a bright initial or monogram to your boring white towels! I have a set that is pale pink with a green monogram from Lacoste and they make me smile every time I pull them out!
Candles are definitely an easy and quick way to add some spring into your life. Pick a fresh scent like gardenia or linen. Remember to always be in the room when you are burning a candle and always blow it out every time you leave the room!
So those are my biggest tips for adding spring to your life! What are your quick, inexpensive, and easy tips for adding spring into your home? A big thank you to Clare for hosting me on her blog! Have a fabulous day!
Yours,

Spring Fling from Aspiring Kennedy

Welcome to Week Three of Spring Fling on Twirling Clare, thank you for joining me! I am so happy to share inspirations from the lovely Lauren of Aspiring Kennedy. She has been a wonderful help and also gave me so many tips on what places I should visit in England, when I am visit with a class in May!
I hope you enjoy today's inspirations as much as I have!!

Bonjour! I'm Lauren from Aspiring Kennedy getting to step in at Twirling Clare today.
There is nothing more that I love than talking about what inspires me from my travels...
and to get to include spring time to the mix? Bliss!

These days I'm caught between several worlds:
I'm an American
who lives in London
but living in Paris for the spring.

I have several images of "home" in my mind.

Luckily, I'm happy most places.

As long as there is my love, good food & sunshine.

After a cold winter, we are finally getting the later here in France...
and it's reminding me of the blissful spring we had in Oxford last year.

England in the sunshine is incomparable.

The flowers... the tea breaks in the garden.... it is all so perfect.

There isn't much that I love more.

{But to be honest, this spring in Paris ain't so bad either.}

Hi lovely readers of Twirling Clare! Annemarie from Brunch at Saks here. I was so happy when Clare asked me to do a guest post because I'm a huge fan of her blog and have loved getting to know her over the past year or so. With winter coming to an end in just a few days, I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite spring-inspired home decor accessories. I've never been one to go full out for any season, but a few bright colored pieces throughout the home is definitely something I'd love to do this year.
Here are a few pieces for spring that I love:

Thank you, Clare! xo
