I know it has been awhile since I have made one of these posts, but I am excited to start back once again, sharing some of the things that I am loving now!

This will allow you to catch a glimpse into my life...and all of the little things inspiring me.

My aunt got me a Slap Watch for Christmas and I've been sporting it the past couple of weeks, it is fabulous!

It functions just like those slap bracelets that were popular a couple of decades ago, but this time it has an added feature...a time piece! I had never heard of them before I received it last month, but I must have just been out-of-the-loop because they are quite the must have.

 Have you heard of the accessory trend??

The best thing about slap watches is that the bands are all interchangable! Simply pop out the watch face and choose your favorite color of the day to sport on your wrist!

I have the zebra stripe, with the pink face...I feel so trendy wearing it around :) I love that face and am thinking of buying a solid white band to go with it, for now the tribal look is doing just fine!

It's Homecoming Week at school and I am all in a buzz sporting my red and black. I don't have too many red pieces in my wardrobe, so I frequently sport my red flower! Several years ago, I started making flower pins...and I guess I was somewhat of a trend setter for kate spade's September campaign :) haha. Here are some shots of red flowers, tune back this weekend for more inspirations with my floral fetish!

Here's what I'm loving now!

This summer I became a country music fan. This is my current fav, hope all of you have a "barefoot blue jean summer night!"

yummy and refreshing summer drinks in a variety of flavors ranging from clementine to blueberry. Plus the labels are super cool (for all of the graphic designers out there!)

FABULOUS beach hats from kerry's cruise hats. My mom bought one a couple of years ago when she was traveling in Sonoma. This hat is my favorite. Greeen with pink flowers and pink and white big checks...hats can be worn either way, so two in one! check out the website! http://www.cruisehats.com/

Our family had traveled to Northern Michigan for years and years. The above paintings are done by a local artist. I find the colors to be beautiful and she has talents in painting both the whimsical view as well as a more detailed oil painting. The magic of honey! I have been using honey on my face for the past couple of weeks as a natural cleanser and it is working wonders! get a little jar of honey to put on your vanity, dab honey onto a cue tip and apply it to any blemishes or breakout on your skin. I do this before I go to bed. The downside is it can be a little sticky on your pillows (I suggest sleeping face-up) and it can get in your hair. However, those that shower in the morning...it should prevent no problems. And I might be incorrect in this suggestion, but I think the honey has highlighted my hair a bit too! I suggest you try out the natural remedy, just to see what yout think!



What I am loving now

As we are celebrating the beginning of summer I have a new collection of current favorite things!

So here's what I am LOVING now:





Vinatge pink convertible. How fabulous would that be to drive around on a summer night? Put a beautiful bright orange scarf in your hair, turn the music up, and feel the wind in your face.

   

Anthropologies dishwear collection. I bought my mom one of these bowls for her ice cream treat! Perfect size and oh so adorable.



My summer reading. An absolutely fascinating story weaving various lives together with the backdrop of Russia in the late 19th C aristrocratic Russian society. The work is quite involved and it is taking me awhile to read it although I know I will feel great when I successful accomplish reading the 800+ pages!



MIH. I am working at a boutique this summer and these are the MUST HAVE jeans. The brand started in the 1970s referred to as "made in heaven" jeans and has resurfaced in the past couple of years. The style has a bit of a 70s flair, but are incredibly flattering and flying off the shelves! I personally like the London cut (medium rise with a bootcut leg). Other popular styles are Paris (mid rise with a cropped leg) and Marrakesh (the trendiest look, high rise with flared leg).

I absolutely love flowers, and right now I am loving the hydrangea blooms. We have a bush in our yard with the white flower, and although the colors are wonderful...I think the actual flower is extremely beautiful. They have such fascinating texture and volume and look beautiful in any yard, arrangement, and centerpiece.



Summer days in the sun! What can you not like about this picture?? From the beautiful blue water to the colorful and bright umbrellas...this just has to put a smile on your face!
