Decorator Michael S. Smith has created this beautiful space for the French founded, Bruncschwig & Fils' new showroom in New York. Bruncschwig & Fils is the epi-center for high quality textiles in the home furnishing industry. If you are looking for wallpaper, trimmings, fabic, and/or upholstered furniture, the sophisticated business has designed the world's most beautiful and iconic interiors for over a century.

The company was founded at the turn of the 20th century and was brought to the United States in 1925. Mrs. B, the daughter-in-law of founder Achille Brunschwig, exuded passion of the company and cultivated a rich and significant business market in the states. The fabrics have been incorporated in White House staterooms, Brooke Astor's interiors and other prestigious estates around the world.

Smith was signed on in 2011as creative director. A collaboration with Los Angeles based design Smith is a bound to create a million-dollar space...and the outpost is just that! His work brings the space to life capturing the heart and soul of the treasured company. It is as a testament to the rich legacy of Brunschwig & Fils, with a fresh and colorful flair. The company has also updated its archives and refreshed its iconic collection, which are available and on display at the outpost.
If their goal was to have every visitor walk out saying, "Now that's what I want my house to look like" - they scored a home run in my book!

Most importantly, the show room captures Mrs. B's philosophy: "Great design is forever."
